Course Description: The Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers Classroom Course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner.

Designed for: Healthcare Providers (Nurses and Nursing Students; Physicians; Medical/Dental Assistants; Physical and Occupational Therapists)

American Heart Association
BLS for Healthcare Provider (Infant/Child/Adult)
Course Description: The HeartSaver CPR/AED course is designed for the lay responder. This class teaches the skills necessary to overcome reluctance to act in emergency situations and to recognize and care for life-threatening respiratory or cardiac emergencies. Through “hands-on” training and video demonstrations, students will learn the standard protocols for administering proper CPR techniques and understand when and how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED).

Designed for: Everyday People (Employees; Parents; Teachers; Coaches; Babysitters and other Care Givers)

Certification: 2 Years

American Heart Association
HeartSaver CPR & AED (Infant/Child/Adult)
Course Description: The AHA’s ACLS course builds on the foundation of lifesaving BLS skills, emphasizing the importance of continuous, high-quality CPR. This course teaches Basic life support skills, including effective chest compressions, use of a bag-mask device, and use of an AED, Recognition and early management of respiratory and cardiac arrest, Recognition and early management of peri-arrest conditions such as symptomatic bradycardia, Airway management, Related pharmacology, Management of ACS and stroke, and Effective communication as a member and leader of a resuscitation team.

Designed for: For healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies and for personnel in emergency response

ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
Course Description: The PALS Provider Course aims to improve outcomes for pediatric patients by preparing healthcare providers to effectively recognize and intervene in patients with respiratory emergencies, shock, and cardiopulmonary arrest by using high‐performance team dynamics and high‐quality individual skills.

Designed for: PALS is geared towards healthcare providers who respond to emergencies in infants and children and for personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units.

PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support
Course Description: The AHA’s PEARS (Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization) Course has been updated to reflect science in the 2015 AHA Guidelines for CPR and ECC. In this classroom-based, Instructor-led course, students learn how to use a systematic approach to quickly assess, recognize the cause, and stabilize a pediatric patient in an emergency situation.

During PEARS, students interact with real patient cases, and realistic simulations and animations to assess and stabilize pediatric patients experiencing respiratory and shock emergencies, and cardiopulmonary arrest. PEARS prepares students to provide appropriate lifesaving interventions within the initial minutes of response until a child can be transferred to an advanced life support provider.

Designed for: The AHA’s PEARS Course is designed for healthcare providers and others who might encounter pediatric emergency situations during their work.

PEARS - Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization
Course Description: The Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens course teaches students how to protect themselves and others from being exposed to blood or blood-containing materials. This course is designed to meet Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements for bloodborne pathogens training when paired with site-specific instruction. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).

Designed for: The AHA Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens Course is designed for anyone with a reasonable chance of coming into contact with bloodborne pathogens such as: Correctional Officers, Childcare workers, Security guards, Maintenance workers, School personnel, Hotel housekeepers, Health and fitness club staff, and Tattoo artists.

Bloodborne Pathogens
Course Description: “Pet First Aid and CPCR for Pet Care Professionals” is a course that was designed by Pet Safety Crusader™ Denise Fleck with Pet Sitters International. This course focuses on pet first aid and cardio pulmonary cerebral resuscitation (CPCR) as it applies to professional pet sitters and pet-care professionals and instructs students in how to respond in an emergency until they are able to obtain veterinary care.

Designed for: Pet Sitters, Pet-Care Professionals, and Beloved Pet Owners
